Intro to who we are. Celebrates 6th Anniversary...

Headwaters Country Jam, Inc is a cooperative endeavor of six principal partners to bring live Country music in a festival atmosphere to Montana and the broader Northwest. Inspired by other three day music festivals, but wanting to put a local and Country twist to the lineup; Headwaters Country Jam was conceived in late 2007 with the first Jam in June of 2008. With the cooperation of local media, businesses, and County officials, Headwaters Country Jam's attendance has steadily climbed through the years.

It is held at the venue known as The Bridge, near Three Forks. The Bridge is comprised of 159 acres and is the final resting ground for the historic Sappington Bridge that once spanned the Jefferson River. Sixty acres are used for the State certified campground which holds 1200 sites, approximately 20 feet X 40 feet. Within the venue is a 12 acre arena where all the magic happens. Live music is provided on two stages.

The Main Stage is brought in from Washington and measures 40 feet X 60 feet. It is run by a professional stage and sound company. Our Upper Stage is contracted locally and provides exposure for local talent to appeal to a broader audience. It is set near the shaded beer garden and dance floor. Food and merchandise vendors as well assponsor booths surround the interior of the arena. A VIP lounge is located near Main Stage and provides shade and limited seating for VIP guests.

Since the inaugural year, thousands of fans have joined under the Big Sky to celebrate their country roots. The three day music festival has brought in high caliber stars including: Eric Church, The Charlie Daniels Band, Eli Young Band, Tracy Lawrence, The Bellamy Brothers, Pat Green, Blackhawk, Luke Bryan, Lonestar, Colin Raye, Emerson Drive, John Anderson, Sammy Kershaw, Joe Diffie, Mark Chesnutt, Mark Wills, Deana Carter, Little Texas and many more. We pride ourselves in providing a large venue and large crowd exposure for local and regional artists. You will find this home grown talent playing on our upper stage and early main stage slots.

Aside from music, concert goers can partake in horse shoe tournaments, dance contests, mechanical bull riding, and many other activities. 2011 saw the addition of the Redneck Olympics and The Redneck Parade of Homes. The Budweiser Clydesdales made an appearance in 2009 and in 2011 the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation brought their Great Elk Tour. Helicopter rides of the Jefferson canyon provide a unique bird's eye view of the concert venue. Headwaters Country Jam specializes in providing Country music and activities that appeal to a broad audience; twenty year olds jitterbug right alongside grandparents dancing with their grandkids. We strive for a safe and fun atmosphere for all ages.
